Alien Attack: A Hands-on Serverless Adventure
Details
Please note that this event is being run at Latency Conference on the 1st of June, 2023. RSVPs via Meetup.com do not entitle you to attend; you will require a ticket to the Latency Conference Workshop Day. See www.latencyconf.io for details.
AWS Alien Attack is multi-player game built on AWS. It is also an event source in need of a serverless back-end for real-time data processing. In this hands-on workshop, you will troubleshoot and develop new features to ingest, process and analyse data using serverless services including Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, and Amazon Cognito.
This is a Level 200/300 workshop so some basic knowledge on cloud computing is assumed. We will kick-off the session with a briefing on the services you will encounter and there will be plenty of volunteer Solutions Architects in attendance to assist. For those already familiar with serverless services and architectures on AWS, there are extension modules available to keep you engaged.
Resources
It is a hands-on workshop so you will need your own laptop. Other than a browser, there are no software requirements.
Time and Place
9am to 12.30pm at Optus Stadium. You'll need to arrive earlier for conference registration. Please see the Conference Schedule for details.
